Hi! My name is Silvio
I am a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Department of Mathematics at MIT, working in the group Nanostructures and Computation lead by Prof. S. G. Johnson.
I defended my PhD in April 2025 after working at the Department of Mathematics of ETH Zurich under the supervision of Prof. H. Ammari.
I research photonic and phononic wave propagation in complex media. I am mostly interested in non-Hermitian systems with a geometric component. More recently I've been working on optimal design of these structures.
